Policies and Procedures

All of our prices are listed in Canadian funds

 When invoicing U.S. orders, keep in mind your invoice will show the prices in Canadian dollars.
If you are paying directly by Credit Card, your credit card company will make the necessary conversions, and bill you in your Currency. (This may vary a bit, depending when your credit card transaction is done.)

 You may also pay via PayPal, or International money order.

Catalogues of Our Products

If you would like to receive a brochure of our packaging products and ingredients for making your own skin care, please contact us and ask for our "Container Products Catalogue".

NOTE: Due to the large Increase of items in our Container, Ingredients & Packaging Line we will now be charging $2.50 for our Container Products Catalogue.  

We want it to remain a coloured catalogue, so people can get an accurate idea of what our products look like, but due to the cost of printing in color, we must charge a fee for it.  If you wish to receive one, we will accept payment via credit card, or Hyperwallet.

If you need a printed price list (no photos), you may request one at no charge.

 

If you are interested in our Emu or Body line, ask for our "Skin Care Product Catalogue".

For catalogue requests out of Canada, please send an International Money Order for $3.00 for each catalogue. (or, we can charge it to your credit card or you may pay via Paypal).

 

Payment Methods and Terms

Under no circumstances do we offer Net Payment Terms. All Orders must be prepaid in full before we will complete them. This applies to all accounts including Wholesale accounts and Custom Orders.

We accept payment by Visa or Mastercard, Check (we must allow 10 days from the time we deposit, for checks to clear) or Money Order in advance and now via  Hyperwallet.

Note: When you place an order for the first time, and give us your credit card number, we will keep it on file for future orders. If you do not wish for us to keep it on file, please specify this with each order.

C.O.D. Orders:  

At this time, we still accept C.O.D. orders (within Canada Only-C.O.D. charge-$6.25 ). 

New Policy in effect Jan 1st/03

New clients must pay for  first order via a credit card. (this is due to continuing problems we are having with C.O.D. orders being returned to us unclaimed)  

If any order you have made, comes back to us because you have neglected to pick it up, or have refused delivery, your credit card will be charged a $10.00 surcharge to cover the cost of shipping and handling. 

We have had to implement this rule, because we have been encountering some problems  with C.O.D. parcels. If we continue to have too many returns, we will discontinue C.O.D. service, and all orders will have to be prepaid. We thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Ontario Retail Sales Tax

This is extremely Important!

If you are a registered business in Ontario, and wish to make purchases without paying Ontario Retail Sales Tax, you must fill out and fax or mail us a copy of the "Ontario Retail Sales Tax Exemption Certificate". Beginning October 15th/2002, we will be charging the Tax to anyone who has not done this. For your convenience, we have provided a link to the form.  Go to: ONTARIO RETAIL SALES TAX Form to obtain a copy. (We need only Page 4 filled out and faxed back to us)

Delivery Information:

If you have already received information from us regarding shipping your parcels out via Canada Post, and you have not received your parcel within 7-10 business days (within Canada), we first recommend contacting your nearest Postal Outlet, to make sure that they have not been holding your parcel, before you contact us.  

We have had some difficulties regarding this, as sometimes your notification from the Postal Outlet has been misplaced, and by the time we are able to track it and get back to you, the parcel has been returned to us.

The Post Office will only hold your parcel for 15 business days, if they have not received word from you, and will return it to the sender (us).

Back Orders

At times we may run short of a product that you have ordered. We will give you the option of receiving the balance of your order when the product arrives; however, we will charge you shipping charges for doing this. 

If you do not wish to pay additional shipping charges, you have the choice of waiting for us to fill your initial order when we receive a new shipment of the product, or you may just re-order the item at a later date.

 

Normal Hours of Operation

Our hours for accepting and answering orders are Monday-Friday 9.00am to 5:00pm. If we do not personally answer your call, be assured, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Containers & Packaging Pricing Information: 

Many have asked us about purchasing containers and packaging products wholesale.

We are unable to give any lower prices than what is listed on each item, due to the fact that we do not have a large mark up on packaging items. However, should you wish to purchase items in large amounts (2000 pieces or more) contact us for information.

Wholesale orders for our Emu products and Skin Care Line

Below is a list of qualifying requirements to purchase our product line wholesale or obtain a wholesale catalogue:

1-You must provide us with a Vendor's Permit number or Sales Tax ID# .(Businesses from other provinces do not need to do this, since we do not have to charge sales tax on orders being shipped to other provinces.)

2- We have a minimum purchase requirement of $100.00, and some items in our catalogue have small minimums you must purchase.

Personal Visits To Our Location

We have been asked by many of you if you can come to our location  and work with us to develop your special order blends, or to have a look at our products.

As much as we would like to accommodate everyone, we just do not have the facilities at this time to allow this. 

We do not have a showroom or a visitors area, since we operate the business from our home. We are a mail order business, so you will get a better idea of our product line by ordering a catalogue, or browsing our website.

Shipping

Minimum Charges-   Shipping $6.00 (within Ontario & Quebec), $8.00 (All other provinces), US orders-$10.00, plus  Handling $2.50.

 

Please keep in mind that your orders will be shipped within 24-72 hours after payment is confirmed. (Keep in mind, though our shipping days for each service.)

Example: You have chosen Canada Post Shipping (Tues and Thurs)-Your order is received after 1:00 pm on Wed. or on Thurs. morning. Your order will go out on the next shipment day, which is Tuesday.

The same is true for Canpar shipments (Wed and Fri.)- You fax or leave a message after 1:00 pm on Tuesday, or call us Wed. morning to place your order. Your order will go out in Friday's shipment. This may vary during October-December, which is generally our busiest time.

 
We ship orders via CANPAR Courier, two days per week (Wednesdays and Fridays).

In Ontario and Quebec, this is in most cases the best way to go, since we have found delivery time to be 1-2 days, and pricing is usually about the same as Canada Post. If you are not available to sign for the item, you can leave a signed note for the CanPar Driver to leave the package (if you have a safe place they can put it), or give us an alternate shipping address, such as a work address or a friend's house, etc.
Canada Post Orders will also go out now two days a week (on Tuesdays & Thursdays) Our orders via Canada Post are shipped via Expedited mail, which normally takes 3-5 days in Ontario and Quebec, and 4-7 days to all other provinces. Should you wish to have a faster delivery, we can ship via Expresspost (more expensive), which takes about 2 days (Ont. and Quebec) and 2-3 days anywhere else in Canada.

For US orders

Please check our Ordering Page for Exchange Rates if paying via International Money Order or PayPal.

For catalogue requests out of Canada, please send an International Money Order for $3.00 for each catalogue. (or, we can charge it to your credit card).

If paying by Credit Card, we will Invoice you in Canadian Dollars, and your Credit Card Company will do the conversion, and bill you according to the Daily Exchange Rate.

You are now able to pay for your orders via Paypal.  All you have to do is let us know that this is how you wish to make payment on your order, and we will contact you with the total amount of your order including shipping & handling  in US dollars. 

Then, all you do, is go to our "Ordering" Page, click on the PayPal Button, and you will be guided through the steps to make your payment. (note: you must sign up for, or currently have a PayPal account.)

 

 Minimum shipping charge:$10.00 plus $2.50 handling.

 In most cases we will ship Insured mail, Via Canada Post, either by Air (approx.5-7days) or Surface (the most economical but takes 14-21 days for delivery).  We will, though, check the rates via CANPAR (which connects to a Courier Service in the US and usually takes about 5-7 days), to determine the most economical way of shipping to you, depending on your location. We do not have an overnight/2 day service to the US.

International Orders (Our Skin Care Products)

Because of the varying cosmetic ingredient regulations world wide, International orders of our skin care and bath products have minimum quantity requirements of 1500 pieces of each item and up, depending on the packaging size you require. There may be additional minimums for special packaging of items, etc.  Please contact us to work something out for your needs. 

The minimums above do not apply to our hand crafted soaps. We will custom make small or large batches for you, if you would like to carry unique, Canadian soaps in your store(s).

A Note about Samples
We are happy to provide sample packs of our products; but as a result of the increasing rise in Internet fraud, (individuals or groups posing as potential buyers just to obtain free products for their own use), we are unable to send out free samples.

What we do offer our wholesale clients are assorted starter packages of our Emu Products. If you are interested in carrying our Emu Skin Care Line, and would like to purchase a starter package, please contact us for pricing.

Product Formulation Fees

We will be happy to work with you to formulate a special blend for your company.

We charge $50.00 to formulate your sample, in addition to the cost of the item. It is then sent to you to for review, and if it is not satisfactory, we will do the re-adjustments and send you a second item at the cost of the item only. (shipping & handling charges are your responsibility)

After this, a fee of $50.00 will be charged each time there is a need to re-adjust blends.  This fee is necessary, because it takes time to re-evaluate the recipes, and samples must be made up to be sure the changes will work in the final product. Please be sure you are aware of these policies, so there will be no confusion at a later date.

Return Policies
(We highly recommend that you order one or two containers or packaging items if you are unsure of your needs)
We will accept returns on orders within 10 days (you must contact us first), but we require a 25% restocking fee.
Example: You order 300 containers at 60 cents each. (300 x $0.60 = $180.00) You decide within 10 days that they were not exactly what you wanted and wish to return them. The procedure is as follows:
-You pay the return postage to send the containers back to us (we cannot refund shipping charges)
-When we receive the items, we deduct 25% of $180.00 which is $45.00 and send you a refund of $135.00 (plus taxes on this amount).  This applies to all items in our Container Products Brochure.

 

Disclaimer

Most of the containers we carry are manufactured for the cosmetic industry.  However, due to the varied types, strengths and mixtures of ingredients being used to create your products, we cannot guarantee that any containers we sell have been tested for all uses.  Therefore, we cannot accept returns, or make refunds if you put a blend into the containers, and reactions occur.  Please test your mixtures before ordering large quantities.
