Why does your soap cost more than
other “Natural” Soaps I can buy in bulk?
Because our soap is made by hand, using the Cold
Kettle, or Cold Process method.This
is based on the Old-fashioned way that soaps used to be made over 200 years ago.
We don’t use Industrial machinery to mass-produce our
bars.Our soaps retain 25%
Glycerine, naturally, and therefore are not drying to the skin.Many of our clients who suffer from skin conditions, or sensitive skin,
tell us our soaps are far gentler on their skin than others.
The bottom line is, you get what you pay for.
What are your minimums for a custom blend?
We will make smaller custom blends such as 9, 12, 42, or 50
bars. Contact us for pricing on these smaller amounts. If we utilize a
basic blend we have already developed, we will not need to do a Trial Batch.
What
is a Trial Batch? Do I have to pay for Trial Batches?
Most Larger, Custom Blends require a
Trial Batch to be approved prior to production.We charge a $50.00 fee, which pays for our time spent developing your
blend.The Trial Batch will yield
about 6 bars, we will send three bars to you, and we will keep three to evaluate
the batch further.
What
if I wish to have a different size bar made?
At present, our basic size is 3 x 2 x 1. We make
our large batches of soap in blocks that we cut down.However, you can have your soap cut so that it is only ½ inch thick
instead of 1 inch thick.
Do
you provide packaging or Labelling?
Although we pride ourselves on our soap quality, we do not have the capabilities
to commercially create labels, as we do not have graphic artists employed.We prefer that you send us your labels or boxes if you want a
professional image on your packaging.
I
have a special scent blend that I wish to use. Can you add my scent blend to
your soap?
Yes we can. You can send us your blend and we will use it, as long as the oils
are compatible with cold process soap making. Note: We will first make a small
Trial batch to confirm compatibility
Will
you supply the essential oils I wish to use?
Yes, if you want us to source them we will, or if you have your own supplier,
and wish to send us the oils to scent the soap, we will gladly use your oils.
The
same is true for certain additives or botanicals.
Can
you put our logo on the bar?
Using our process of soap making, we do not make bars with logos.It is possible to hand stamp the bar or small brick of soap while it is
still soft, but it would require that you have a special stamp made, and the
cost of the soap would rise considerably because of the labour involved.
It is also possible to pour the soap
into plastic molds, but this again takes a lot more time, and we feel this is
best for small batches only of less than 500 bars.With our type of soap making, the bars also do not tend to
come out of these molds as well.It
is easier (and cheaper) to place a logo on packaging rather than the soap
itself.

Lotions & Creams are made by the liter or pail
Lip balms are available either in unlabelled tubes, or pots,
or in pail quantities.
Body Butters and lotion bars can be ordered in unlabelled
containers (you do the labelling) or in pail quantities.
